All preheaters:

  • The preheater is installed in the engine compartment.
  • The preheater is integrated into the coolant return line from the internal heat exchanger to the engine.
  • Alternatively in the by-pass system, if a valve has to be bypassed. For details, see the sketch, see the bottom section of the Support page.
  • Further questions are answered in the document "Frequently Asked Questions".

 

OWL: 1S + 2S

  • The connection cable (black) is routed from the engine preheater, eg to the vehicle front or sideways (fog lights).
  • The plug-in socket can be fixed in two different ways (fastening bracket downwards, or forward, see pictures in the offer).
  • For details on the mounting of the socket, please refer to the document "Mounting socket".
  • With the orange cable, the Schuko socket is connected to the socket on the vehicle front.
  • No additional fixing of the heater (380Gram) is required

OWL: 4S

  • The connection cable should be placed in the interior, since it is not protected 100% against weather influences.
  • The heater should be screwed to the body by means of the metal plate attached to the rear panel.

OWL: 4D

  • The connection of a connection set DEFA is required
  • The heater should be screwed to the body by means of the metal plate attached to the rear panel.
